Luton West End Bowling Club recently featured on ITV Anglia News’ 6pm programme, highlighting our fundraising efforts to keep the club open.
On 12th January, the ITV Anglia team came down to Memorial Park to speak to the Club’s members about the importance of the Club to the local community and what we are doing to raise funds.
The Club’s oldest member, Peter Maina, spoke about his fond memories of the Club he has been bowling with for 40 years, while the Club’s secretary, Jane Spendley, emphasised the vital source of socialisation that the Club provides to its members – calling for anyone local to the area who is looking to start playing bowls to give it a try!
